I love Danielle Paige. The way she retells fairy tales is amazing. Her work isn't for little kids, its more so for YA area.

If an author can write a realistic character, I'm definitely in. I loved, for so long, Cassandra Claire. The Infernal Devices is one of my all-time favorite series'. Recovering from the end of that trilogy was...hard lol. However in a hands down sort of way, I truly love John Green. I was resistant at first, but after reading Looking For Alaska, I respect him as a writer so much. I feel like his characters are accessible and realistic. The dialogue never feels lacking or patronizing. It feels like its coming from some high school kids down the street who are having the conversation in real time. With so much attention being paid to storylines involving post-apocalyptic happenings, a John Green novel is as refreshing as hanging out with a buddy on a warm spring evening.

I don't necessarily have a favorite because I love them all! There are way too many amazing authors out there that I cannot narrow them down to just one. My top 5 authors are J.K Rowling, Stephanie Meyer, John Green, Veronica Roth, and Suzanne Collins.

My favorite YA author is Sarra Cannon. I got started on her Beautiful Demons series and was hooked. I have currently read all of her books (paranormal and non) and pre ordered her newest to come out.

I have so many YA authors that I love reading, but I'm going to have to say that Rick Yancey is my favorite. I love his stories, his writing style, and all of his characters.

I completely agree! I can't even pick a favorite book, let alone a favorite author! There are SO MANY!

But just for kicks, I'll participate and say I'm going to have to go old school with Judy Blume. I read all of her books as a kid, as did almost every girl in my school! haha
I, too, read quite a few of Judy Blume's books in elementary school. The one that immediately came to mind was Are You There, God? It's Me, Margaret.

I enjoy reading John Grisham's Theodore Boone series for YA. My middle schooler is now reading through the series, too.

My top 2 YA authors are definitely John Green and Ned Vizzini. John Green's books are always so beautifully written and I can never put them down, but then Ned Vizzini writes based on things he's gone through and you can just feel the personal touch that it gives the books.
