I'm not sure about what this book is about? Is it trying to show the hopelessness of many kid's lives? Or that teachers need to work harder to impact kids? I've downloaded because I always kinda wonder why some kids do well and others do not. Maybe this will illuminate even though fiction.

The book reflects a typical life of a child mostly in schools.I think its an excellent book for any teacher to read.being in that profession I believe I will enjoy reading it

I like that this book is today's giveaway book because childhood hunger is a cause that must be solved. I believe that the family lives of these children directly effect their school life. As a person who can attest to this, I agree that it is sad when children lose their love for learning. I like that a widely recognized teacher with many awards wrote this book based on his own experiences.
