Wow, this sounds like a great young adult novel! I really got the idea that the power of friendship will be extremely important in the novel just from the review, and I expect it'll be very inspiring to many teens who enjoy this genre.

Luna reminds me of Pantalaimon from Pullman's "His Dark Materials" series, though the two series don't appear to have much in common aside from that. This sounds like a fantastic read. Thanks for a great review.

It is interesting that so many fantasy novels feature different types of beings that look like humans but have differently colored eyes. It must be because eyes are "the window to the soul."

This sounds like such an entertaining story! I love the mystery in the phrase "the missing orb." It's also a plus that's impeccably edited. Thanks for a great review!

Great review! I like how you put a lot of detail into describing the main character but still left something to the imagination for the next reader.

Middle school science-fiction readers will love this one for its thought-provoking messages about prejudice, friendship, the toxicity of secrets and deception, and finding oneself - but I'm sure anyone can find something to like in it!

Thanks for the great review. The plot reminds me of a book where a character can transform into a bird, and where the main goal is to prolong their existence.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting young adult science fiction story about a young woman who discovers that not only can she transform into animals, but is also from Chiralis, a planet home to a race of beings that gain energy from ultraviolet light. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

A coming-of-age book about a girl who can transform into animals! Wow, I was hooked right there. On top of that the book discusses prejudice, friendship, deception, and a lot more including how desensitized the world is to violence, especially school shootings... I need to read this book for the sheer world building aspect of the story telling! Oh, and congratulations on being selected as BOTD!

Sophia Violet and the Fiery Orb sounds like a thrilling read! It has many different characters and is full of imagination. I think that it is better suited for young kids and teens, so I will be passing. However, I think that I may give it to a family member who fits the age category and loves magic and adventure books. Congrats to the author on BOTD! :)

Sophia's story sounds fascinating, as does the world she lives in. I would like to follow her evolution and witness her adventure. The author seems to be done an outstanding job with world-building and the development of the characters. Splendid review! Thank you!
