I really wanted to like this book. At the beginning I didn't think it was so bad, but the writing was premature and I kept waiting for Bella to go through some character development through the 3 books...but she didn't. Still the same dimensional character.

The Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer was a lot different than what I had heard the masses been saying, but I'm assuming that is due to the poor portrayal of such a thrilling book in the movies. Twilight was dark, mysterious, but also filled with a romance that overcame obstacles. I loved the book, and I found myself wanting to read it again and again. The series evolved and developed with each book, expanding on the characters and plot in a way the movies didn't. If you're looking for a series you will get addicted to, try Twilight.

I only read the first one and I really wasn't hooked. It was a long time ago, but I remember thinking the story was kind of boring :(

Like the Mortal Instruments series, I also love the Twilight series (but not as much as the Mortal Instruments). I read the series a couple years ago and I really liked it. It did have the "what guy will the girl choose" kind of conflict, but I believe it was more of an internal conflict of Bella on what she wanted her future to be. Did she want to live her life as a vampire or did she want to stay human? Some say that the series was boring or had no point, but you have to keep in mind, it is a fiction book. It's not going to suit everyone, but if you want a sort of fantasy fiction with action and love conflict, this series is for you. I liked this series very much and probably would read again.

I agree with you, completely. Even though many bash the series it's actually very good. I like it. I think the movie destroyed the series though, as does many movies when they get turned into books, but not all. I loved the series and the first movie was okay. The movies after didn't cut it at all.

I never failed to get completely lost in twilight. It has become one of my favorite books, and I could probably read it over and over. I would defiantly recommend it to others. Every page was a page turner. Love this series

i enjoyed Twilight. It was very well written and seemed to flow really easily. I love the kind of books where i am just reading it and turning page after page and don't even register the outside world. Where what i'm reading is my world and the words form that world around me. Twilight did that for me, though granted i didn't like some of the details in the books but i think i was so enthralled with the fluidity of the words that i could have read something about a chicken with a robotic leg with a shrink ray and butterfly as a best friend and wouldn't have cared lol

I remember in high school all my friends were so excited for the books and the movies but at the time I was like why is everyone so excited about this I didn't watch the movie until it had already been out a few years and then I decided well I'll read the books and I really enjoyed reading them I couldn't put them down once I started but I am like that with every book I get into :D

Twilight is sadly one of those series devalued because of the movies not doing it justice.
I found the whole series especially well written and easy to get absorbed in from the onset.
It's definitely one of my all time faves, which I turn to when I've run out of things to read and want to escape for a few hours.

The Twilight series was one of the best series of books (in my opinion) to ever be made. I personally liked the books better than the movies because the movies could have been so much better! I guess they did what they could with what they had. The books that Stephanie wrote had so many twists and turns that left me feeling excited :D and the books had some parts that left me feeling angry! In conclusion though I was satisfied with how it ended, but am really wishing for another book to tell us what happened later when the Vampire council decides to come back!

Twilight will always be a fond memory as it was the first book I read about vampires and I enjoyed the first 3 books (I can't remember if I read the last), I read them when there was a hype over them and after the hype I tried to read them again and got bored on the first book.

I love this series. If I find myself in a reading slump I find myself reread this series more than others. I personally love Twilight and Breaking Dawn more then New Moon and Eclipse for different reasons. I would recommend this series to people have seen the movies because the books are way better than the movies. I really love Renesmee the most she is my favorite character.

I am a Twihard as well. I read the books and then saw the movies, and then read the books again. The books are defiantly better, as most book readers will say, but they really are better. I love romance type books but I also love YA books so this gave me both sides of what I wanted which I think that is why Stephanie put the scene in the 4th book like she did. And thankfully, the director of that movie gave it to us too! I loved this series no matter what the haters say. GO TWILIGHT! :P
