The Mortal Instrument series is one of my favorites! I still need to read the last one! Who else loves Simon?

I really loved this book but then THAT happened. If you've read it, then you know what I'm referring to.

It just took me completely out of it and then seeing that it would weave into the following book, I just dropped it.

I really enjoyed this book very much all the plots to this book was written very well. When the movie came out I was excited . The movie wasn't so bad they did leave alot of stuff off of course that's what happens in most book. I love the first book.

If you asked me about my view of this series 6 months ago, I would have said that it was the best book in the whole universe and anyone saing otherwise deserved a painful death. However, once I look back, I realized that the storyline is so clichaed. Jace is too predictable, too....what's the word? Artificial. Clary is the ‘perfect' heroine and it is just sooooo obvious that the two would fall in love. :?

I love the entire series! I was obsessed from the start. I sometimes was put off a little with how adult they acted when they're just teenagers as many others have said. Sometimes it just had me saying, "Really? I don't know about that." I did love that the books were not predictable to me. Usually I can predict a little bit, but not in this series. They constantly had me wanting to scream from frustration because what was happening was so good and blowing my mind.

I love this whole series, but hated the movie. The books were so good because of the angel mythology in the shadow hunters background, and the movie completely ignores that plotline.

I absolutely adored this book and series. I read this right before I went to college last year. I've always been an avid fan of stories like these, the way everything was depicted you can tell Cassandra did her research into the mythology of stories and wrote it appropriately. I'll admit that put me off a bit but still over all this was a very good book.

It delves into a more psychological level with these teenagers acting and living as adults and not running with the chances they have as much as others would. The ways they did run and get reckless gave quite a bit to the believably of these characters as teenagers.

I found City of Bones to be entertaining. I saw fault with it, but it's not like it's a series that proclaims itself serious literature. It was written to entertain and for young adult readers to escape and hopefully learn a few things about how an individual defines family. I felt Cassandra Clare did an excellent job grabbing reader attention and hearts and she excelled at showing the depths isolation has on one's actions and thought process which isn't too shabby for commercial fiction. It's a good thing when you entertain as well as open up discussion for deeper ideas.

I really liked this book too! I feel like it's different from some other things that I have read. I like a hidden world that has magic, werewolves, vampires, fairies.... I like to dive in this world!

I've tried reading this series at least 3 times. The first time it was super interesting and then I didn't continue it. Then about two years later I tried to start reading the series again and I just couldn't connect with the characters or really get into the books. I imagine if I would have just read them the first time I really would have liked the books but I just couldn't.

My daughter and I are now on the last book of this series. We read through the others in no time. Love all the characters! The last book is a bit of a slower read although my niece had no problem reading it quickly. She has been hounding us to finish it so she can talk about it. Definitely enjoyed this series so far.

I am currently finishing the last book of this series and I fell in love from the start. It was almost better than the Twilight series in the aspect that it had more fantasy creatures than just the usual vampire and werewolf. Although my love for the Twilight series will never die The Mortal Instruments series gave it a run for its money.

I struggled to connect with this book. The things that happened in this book were just a bit too odd for my taste. Perhaps when I have some time I will give it another go.
