What's your Grace? (Graceling by Kristin Cashore)

This was a very good book. My favorite of the three in its series. I was sad that there wasn't more books because I could see so many different paths Kristin could have went with to write more.

Graceling was very imaginative, I wasn't sure if I was going to like this book and almost did not read it, but I did and I loved it. I am not sure what MY grace would be if I was in this story but I would hope it would be something badass like Katsa!

Katsa had a pretty sweet Grace. And I love how it was kind of vague too. Like, everyone just thought that she was good at fighting, but actually, it was so much deeper than that.

I loved Graceling and Fire I found them both well written memorable and unique. I haven't read Bitterblue yet but I intend to. I have heard there are some recurring character other than bitterblue which is nice I found the jump between characters and settings in the first two books a bit jarring but well worth it.

I really loved Graceling. Also, Fire and Bitterblue.

Katsa is such a good character that I want to be like her. I want to have her Grace, which is really survival not killing people.

I had the same feeling about Fire. I love the two main characters from Graceling so much, so I was disappointed not to have them around in Fire.

I have read all three books and loved all of them though I kind of wish the three stories came together better than just them meeting each other. As for my grace...it would probably be something lame like being able to see different things at the same time and process it. I hope my eyes would be teal and crimson or teal and silver.

My grace would probably be something to do with communicating with animals! My other passion besides reading is animals. I have 2 dogs and 3 cats and love every single one! In fact I probably prefer animals over humans

I would have to agree with you on that one. Animals to me at least seem to communicate on a deeper level than people give them credit for and while I'm probably not very good at it, I try my best to truly understand what they're saying.

The Graceling series by Kristin Cashore is one of the best young adult series I have read. The plot was very unique and innovative in contrast to many of the predictable plot lines of many young adult series. The characters were created very well overall. Every character was unique in its own way and seemed to have a certain level of complexity to his or her personality. The flow and connection of the trilogy was very distinct and well done by the author. The connection was not clear between the books until the very end. This made the read more exciting and gave the reader a cliff hanger until all was revealed. Overall the trilogy was very well written and had good lessons to be learned from it.

I definitely enjoyed Graceling, and agree that it was very refreshing and a different change from the current selection of YA books. If I had a particular Grace, I think it would be healing and caring for the elderly.

I read the series years ago. Graceling is still one of my favorite books. I loved the idea of Graces and the love story between the two main characters was excellent. It was one of those books I read more than once and was just as into it.

Id love to have the fighting grace that "po" has.. I think that was his name!
