Poor Madison! She must have been terrified after being sexual assaulted. Now she has to be on alert for the next time Jackson will strike. The situation is so messed up. I wonder what's the reason for the abduction. Congratulations on BOTD, this is an amazing book.

Thank you for your wonderful review. I'm so glad you enjoyed the book. It definitely does sound like a lot of secrets in the extended family. There are a lot of deep subjects in this book. I don't believe this is the book for me, but I'm sure many others will look forward to reading it.

In today's book of the day, Madison was sexually assaulted by Jackson which made her relocate. However, Jackson came back six months later to kidnap Madison. Although, a fiction book, relates the what people face in the pres et world. Congrats on #BOTD!

Quite an intriguing story, loaded with rays of hope for those recovering from sexual abuse.
I hope Madison was able to pull through in the end.

I really love the cover it's very interesting. It sounds like quite an intense book and exactly what I'm seeking at the moment. I glad that it can be read as a stand-alone but I definitely want to read the first book Scorn of Secrets as well. Thanks for an insightful review.

The plot sounds compelling, and I’m glad to hear that the author handles sexual assault and trauma in an appropriate way. I’m not sure if the book is for me, but it seems as though it would be a good read for those who are into such works. Thank you for the helpful review.

When Madison feels like life is going smoothly, Jackson kills her. After the kidnapping, I worry about what will happen. Jackson's one-of-a-kind deed will create a whirlwind in the lives of Madison's loved ones. I can hardly wait to start reading this book. Best wishes on BOTD!

Thorn of secrets, is a fictional novel I’m waiting to read. I’m excited to read about Madison’s finding her desired love. The thing about her is she was a single mom.

A lot must have been going on around Madison's life from her being sexually assaulted and living in fear that her attacker, who had absconded, would try to do something bad to her again, to her enstranged relationship with Justin whom she finds difficult to get over with....all these are somewhat nerve-wracking. But also what shocking events were revealed? Was Jackson brought to the book for what he did to Madison? I'd like to know that. I will read the book.

Sexual assault can be traumatic as the victim might be able to recover from it as quickly as possible. Sometimes, we don't assume we have gotten over some things until we face them again.
