A combination of crime and fantasy! The plot of the book seems engaging. I love the character of Inspector Mage already. The book’s cover is lovely. Congratulations on BOTD.

A notorious inspector finds himself caught in a crime he must solve. A muder mystery with a bit of fantasy elements sound intriguing. Congrats on botd!

The evaluation was unbiased and accurate. I appreciated the author's use of actual accounts of women who battled gender inequity and injustice. The female readers of this book are given courage if they have experienced injustice. Congrats on botd!

A detective series with a fantasy aspect, now that sounds like an interesting read. I might just add this to my bookshelf.

I liked how the author has mixed two genres to present a crime novel uniquely. However, it would have been better had the writer left enough room for the reader's imagination.

I have never come across a book about mages, using their power to investigate and solve crimes. This must be an interesting book. Thanks for the good review.

A mystery book spiced up with some magic on the side. Not really something I'd dig into and start reading immediately. I'll pass on this one.

It is an interesting book about Inspector Russell going back to his game after he gave up, I would like to read the book and find out if he will close this case.
