Thank you for your review. This definitely sounds like a book I would connect with. I was also an imaginative child raised by my grandparents.

A story of growth from childhood to young adulthood is always educative. I have always wondered about children raised under peculiar and divergent circumstances. Star and Thatcher both experience unique life journeys. They grew up under the care of their paternal and maternal grandparents at different times in their lives. Thank you for a great review. I like that the story has a great tone and prose. I Love the story already.

This is a young adult fiction book about two siblings as they grow up with their grandparents. I especially like how we get to see Star's growth and development as the story progresses. Congrats on the BOTD!

I was drawn to this book, thanks to excellent cover. It reminded me about elves or "A Midsummer Night's Dream" or just something mysterious and beautiful. While the book didn't match my expectations precisely, it was very good in its own way. Storyline, characters and atmosphere are very well thought through, so I am not regretting that I bought the book you giveaway currently for free)) Congrats on BOTD!

The book sounds a bit historical. I'm not sure what to make of it. Nevertheless, your review is remarkable!

I loved the sample and this great review makes me want to read the novel entirely. It looks like a modern Bildungsroman with contemporary American issues ( racism, diversity) and some very personal, unique ones.

I might be too old for this kind of story but this novel seems well-constructed and can be appreciated particularly by young adults. It addresses some important themes that can be appreciated by readers of all ages. Thank you for your great review!

I think many young adults can relate to this book because it offers the viewpoint of a person's hopes, dreams, and imaginative fantasies about life, along with the harsher aspect of what life is actually serving up.

This is definitely my type of read and thank you to the reviewer for confirming that for me. I love reading books where I get to connect and feel the emotions of the characters. I would definitely love to follow Star on her journey through changes and unexpected life moments in this book.

Star and Thatcher's life experiences seem very interesting. Being brought up by two sets of grandparents who are completely different from each other would have been very challenging for the kids. While this comes across as a well-written book, it's not something I'd usually read, so I'll be skipping it. Great review!
