A Captive in Algiers by AJ Lewis sounds like an intriguing book about Ettore and his friends who are sold to slavery by ruthless pirates. I was quite fascinated reading the Preface and about the author finding a key link to his ancestral past. I have added the book to my reading list. Congratulations on the BOTD!

I love reading intriguing stories, that exude the characters' emotions and sentiments, and this historical fiction book seem to fill that gap. I will check it out.
