I like katniss. Honestly, she just seems more "real." Someone with problems and personality defects, like anyone else. Tris has problems too, but she seems to... Perfect? To me. Maybe it's just an odd preference...

I would have to say Katniss, however Tris did connect well with me in the first book. I didn't like how she became reckless towards the end- that turned me away from her.

I liked Katniss because I felt like she was more rounded as a character than Tris.

I prefer Katniss. Yes, both of them have mental break downs but Katniss get through hers eventually. She was the unintentional spark to a revolution. After she had a breather she helped promote a Hunger Game free Panem. Tris didn't know what was past a barrier. The world of Panem wasn't a supposed Utopia. Katniss didn't have to find herself, she knew who she was she just wanted to survive and then have a world where children didn't have to be afraid. Tris most of the time seemed to go with everything or was hiding or confronting her enemy with no end game.

Definitely Tris Prior! She doesn't care what anybody thinks and fights to protect her loved ones and is very brave.

This is really a toss up for me, but I think I lean more towards Katniss' side rather than Tris. Both characters are strong, brave, defiant when the time is right and loyal but I just felt as though Katniss was motivated not simply because she wanted to protect herself but because of what her actions would do to others as well. That made her seem a little more grounded and humble to me.

Katniss committed many courageous acts, but Tris wins out for me. I'm more attached to Tris and find her relatable. Although she appeared reckless in some of her decisions, she was guided by (and always followed) her heart and instincts.

I prefer Katniss. She has been my dream character from the beginning. She has always shown who she is and is very independent. Tris, is cool, but I feel like Katniss is cooler :)

I prefer Katniss. She was more real. It was interesting to see someone of her character go through what she did. She is not the traditional 'hero' type character and I liked seeing her development as a person.

I think both Katniss and Tris are powerful female roles but its hard to say who my favorite is.

I don't know if I could choose between the two of them. Both of them are such strong leads with such strong personalities. Katniss knows what her priorities are and will do anything to make sure that those she is close to are taken care of. She is so persistent and strong. Tris goes against her entire raising to become someone different. She wants to be more. She completely takes herself out of her comfort zone and throws herself into something new just so she can feel.. It's unfair to pick between the two. Even though they're fictional, they both have impacted me.

I'd have to say Katniss. I really like Tris in the first book, but I really felt like she drifted away in the second one. It felt like she just gave and stopped caring. Granted, I haven't read the third one yet, so we'll see if that changes my mind. On the other side of everything, Katniss seemed to stay strong throughout the entire series and seemed like a much stronger character.

Its extremely difficult to choose any one. Both are such beautifully strong characters.

For me, it's Katniss. I admire her ability to stand up for what she believes in, no matter the cost. Yes, she is selfish in some aspects, but I think that makes her more relatable...aren't we all a little selfish? In the end, her fight is for the good and that's all that matters to me.

I would have to say Katniss. She is very brave and tries to please everyone but herself.
