"High Clowder Cats" by Ruby Knight explores human behaviours, emotions and social structure through the leadership of Bushytail and his feline companions. Universal themes, such as betrayal, rebellion, friendship, and companionship, combine to teach moral lessons. I can see you enjoyed the book. Thanks for a great review.

I've never really read animal fantasy, but this novel stands out I'd like to read how themes that seems to be lacking in humans are conveyed through this work. Great review

This book is indeed a captivating tale of leadership, friendship, and growth. The way the author weaves together themes of faith, hope, love, and justice is truly remarkable. Bushytail's journey from a lone cat to a wise and just leader is inspiring, and the supporting cast of characters adds depth and warmth to the story. It a nice story to read, the simply yet effective language also makes the story more interesting 😊

High Clowder Cats by Ruby Knight follows the cat BushTail, who moves from a carefree, wild cat to a leader. I would like to read about this transition and the challenges that came with it.

This story is quite unique considering that the characters are cats. Bushytail's personal growth, taking advantage of Bristle's guidance, and the growth of High Clowder as a feline society, also passing through hardships, offer food for thought

Thank you for your review. I read the sample. In the spirit of 'Watership Down', one of my favorite books, this is a lovely story about cats in the wild, living and surviving as a group. Humans and cities are foreign and dangerous. I liked Bushytail's story.

Thanks for the detailed review. It’s interesting how the story of Bushytail isn't just about cats but also about leadership, purpose, and community. I like that the book touches on justice, friendship, and even rebellion through animal characters. Sounds like a well-written and thoughtful story for fans of animal fantasy.

One can find a wonderful story of High Clowder and how it became one unique colored cat by reading the book "High Clowder Cats" by Ruby Knight. The book conveys the message that empathy, equity, and justice would always stand out everywhere.

High Clowder Cats by Ruby Knight is a delightful and exciting book that gives insight into the lives of feral cats — not as wild beasts but as a family, navigating the dangers of the world. I honestly didn’t think I’d care for a story told completely from a cat’s perspective however it seems to get under your skin very quickly.
The story focuses on Storm, a young feral cat who is separated from his family after a natural disaster. We see him survive various dangers in the outside world, experience moments of both kindness and evil, and become acquainted with the mysterious High Clowder — a type of wise organization of cats. The author has created a vivid world for the cats which includes their own distinct rules and belief systems, as well as a hierarchy.
What I liked the best was that the author did an excellent job creating individual personalities for each cat. Although they are animals, I found them to be relatable — with their loyalty and fear, curiosity and courage. Storm's journey is quite heartbreaking, yet had a lot of excitement as well. The writing flowed well and the pacing was great too - not too fast or too slow, and just enough action to keep it interesting without feeling rushed or unnatural.
If I had to mention one thing I didn't do to like, sometimes the cats' dialogue felt too human-like. There were a few spots that it took me out of the story. Also, a glossary or list of characters would have assisted — there are a lot of names to remember.
In terms of grammar and editing, the book is nicely done. I didn't notice any big issues or spelling errors and it printed nicely and was easy to follow.
I would recommend High Clowder Cats to people that like animal stories, coming of age stories, or survival stories. It could also be a good read for younger readers, or teenagers who are animal lovers.
All together, this is a beautiful and imaginative story with good messages about community, resilience, and belonging in this world (even if you walk on four paws).

It appears the book covers both virtues and vices that could be exhibited by humankind. What stands out for me in the book is the fact that Bushytail demonstrated traits that everyone would like to see every leader possess. Many thanks for the amazing review, @Vivian Stones; it has piqued my curiosity.

Nice review! The book was interesting to me as I have two cats myself. This did not seem to be a children's book, as they wouldn't understand some of the verbiage. It's more for teens and young adults. It is a book that piques your curiosity.

Bushytail's story depicts integrity, responsibility, and resilience. Though cats are meant to be alone, he adapted and sought assistance from like-minded ones from his kind. This story shows the importance of adaptability. Nice review, well done.
