Thanks for the review. I find it that sometimes a plot that is predictable is boring so I am glad that you found this one a little bit surprising.

Thank you for sharing your review! Doesn't sound like something I would usually enjoy, but your review is convincing.

I like the pictures and I agree it would be appropriate for a broad age range. It sounds like a great book I will want to read.

Stubborn Rising: Beneath the Fall is a thought provoking story of a new world. Barra is delightful young bap. She misses her father and feels she doesn't have enough memories of him. Her thread, a custom that is a way of remembering the past. In her need to find out more about him, she and her friends become endangered. Wonderful read. I fully recommend this book.

Thanks for your fine review, rachaelamb1. You gave us enough detail to decide if we might like Sunborn Rising, without giving away too much of the plot. Since this isn't the type of fantasy I enjoy, I won't be reading it, even though the first few pages certainly held my attention.

Interesting premise. At first glance, I would have passed this one by because the living in trees concept seems a little juvenile, but you say it's appealing for all ages. Maybe I'll take your word for it!

This sounds like my kind of book. I'm intrigued by the mystical nature that it seems to have. The fact that the fantasy world is centered around nature is really interesting, reminds me of almost an Elven setting. Thanks for the information :)
