The humor in the book through the characters draws me in. I like the mystery and adventure theme and the nostalgia that results. This seems to be an engaging read. Congratulations on the BOTD.

It's a shame that the grammatical errors almost take away the beauty of this intriguing storyline and plot. Congrats on being the book of the day!

I'm positive that I'm gonna love any book with a first person perspective of a nine year old child.
Thank you for the review.

Is 'The Machine' the mysterious box? Is it filled with bad luck or what's going to happen? It sounds like it's filled with humor though

I'm really looking forward to unraveling The mystery of the box, and the added humor in here is just a bonus.

I’m curious about the box and what will happen with Mick. It’s fascinating, suspenseful and mysterious. I hope the errors won’t take away the enjoyment of reading it.

It sounds like a great book. My children did rather play with boxes than toys! I would love to read The Machine. The review is well-written packed with information.

I would like to know more about the odd box that Mick discovered. I'm a fan of humourous works, and since the reviewer mentioned its presense in the book, I think I'll give it a try. Thanks for this insightful review. It really gave a glimpse of what the book is all about.

I'm honestly not at all intrigued by the book. The review was great but this doesn't sound like a kind of book that'll hold my interest.

I do love adventurous and suspenseful plots, and I definitely share a love of dogs, humor, magicians, and boxes! 📦🪄 It sounds like this story might have a great deal to excitedly offer, so I’ll have to check it out soon! Thank you for your lovely review.

The plot appears to be suspenseful and dramatic. However, the narrative hasn't completely captivated me, therefore I won't be reading this one. Great review

Green displayed his sense of humor through his main characters; there was hardly a page that did not contain something humorous.
Humor is the life of a book. Thanks for a good review.

I don't think this is the one for me. Usually, I will add YA books to our classroom book recommendations board, but with all the errors, I'll have to pass this time. I appreciate your review! It was really helpful! Thank you!!

Set in the 1940s, today's BOTD is an adventurous YA read that's filled with mystery, suspense, and humor. The storyline unfolds after a group of friends finds a magician's box behind a carnival. What secrets does the box hold? Will it bring the group good or evil? Readers who enjoy realistic characters and books about friendship will want to check this one out! Thanks again! :-)

I like that the book is full of humor. Also, the characters are well thought out and the descriptions are incredibly vivid. Too bad the book has a lot of typos.
