Inspector Mage: Blood on the Floor is a fantasy storie that included mages and magic. I like the concept of blending these two genres to create an engaging murder mystery novel. Thanks for your review.

A murder mystery in which it is already halfway the book obvious who committed the crime, is not something that would attract me.

This is going to be an interesting fictional book. I'll be setting out time to read it. Russel and Julie must set aside their differences to resolve this crime. Thanks for the review.

I am not usually all that interested in the Young Adult genre, but the way reviewer has book described intrigued me. Former instructor, hunting the notorious serial killer, mysterious woman and magic. Sophisticated plot with twists and turns made unpredictable due fantasy elements placed in a storyline, guarantee that I gladly accept generous gift and going to read it! Congrats on BOTD!

I don't think that I've ever read a murder mystery book that has been combined with fantasy and magic; I may just have to check this one out!

Overall, I enjoyed the plot, and the author's writing was easy to follow. I had a lot of fun gathering the clues and making my guess about what had happened and who committed the crime. I was a little disappointed that the culprit was so easy to figure out. I was not shocked by the plot twist because I had a strong suspicion about who was guilty before I even got to the halfway point in the book, but I did get the satisfaction of being right about my instincts. I had also hoped to see more growth in Russell's character, but he didn't have much of a chance to deal with his addiction in this novel. I hope to see him take positive steps in dealing with his past in future books.

You're one positive person. I hate when I can easily guess the plot twist. But since this book is directed towards young adults it's probably a good idea to make it a "solvable" mystery and give them the satisfaction of guessing right. World-building can be boring, but I'm glad this is not the case.
Great review!

Inspector Mage by Aleese Hughes is an action-packed novel involving magic, mystery, and thrills. Not only does it have a mix of mages and murder, but this book also has fantastic world-building too.

A great review.
I have read the sample of the book. I can say that the review justifies the work of author Aleese Hughes. I am very excited to get the book.

This sounds like such an intriguing read for sure! A blend of two genres I never would have thought to mix, fantasy and murder mystery, sounds like a sure-fire way to grab my attention.

I like the genre-bending character of the book. Such a pity the plot twist was predictable. However, Hughes did an excellent job in pacing the story.

I'm not much for the magic and mage bits, and the "New Age God" serial killer is kind of putting me off. Still, I'm intrigued by the murder and mystery. I'll check it out and see how it goes. Nice work on this review. Thank you for sharing.
