Thanks for the elaborate review. It presents the book as one with a powerful message. Definitely a getter.

I love your review and it is clear that this book has changed you. I like when a book can be so powerful that you feel that pain and hurt of the characters. I agree that high schoolers should read this book because those years can become very hard for teenagers who do not fit the mold. I do not think that the switching in between genders takes away from the power of the book it just shows that there needs to be better editing.

Holy Komoly... I'm not sure this is gonna be a book for me. I'm a mother of two girls and I think I would just be horrified and heart stricken if this happened to one of my kids. For one of my kids, first not to tell me that this was happening, and second to make the decision to take another kid's life. Heart breaking.

Great review. Parents should pay more attention to their children. They may be going through some really deep stuff.

Hi, I read the sample of this book and wasn't wholly convinced of reading it further but your review and tipped me towards reading it, thank and great work!

When a reviewer believes so entirely in the book they just read that they write a review like this, it forces somebody to consider it more closely. Although it doesn't sound like something I would usually read the powerful review will let me at least give it a chance.

This seems like quite a conversstion starter. Bullying, sexual and physical abuse in teenagers whilst in high school have been topics under-handled over the years. I'm glad the author was able to delicately but expertly handle these topics in a way that is relatable and isn't too overwhelming to thwart completing the novel by what you mention Kendscreeley. That being said, thank you for a great review as always! :tiphat:

Behind Broken Glass Walls sounds intense and for reason your description of the plot reminded me of Thirteen Reasons Why.

Perhaps the author chose to alternate between the her and him pronouns on purpose? There is a writing movement going on that does this or write the pronoun they because they think he and she (him/her) used solely is not inclusive.

Thanks for the excellent review!

Great review @kandscreeley :) and I agree- its definitely worth overlooking small flaws if a book makes an impact in other ways. I like the style of the opening section and, going on your recommendation, I think I'll continue!

The review gave me this sense of disturbance. But hopefully I'll like the read. Thanks

I felt the same way after reading the sample but after reading a bit further and also reading this review, I may change my mind and read the rest of it.

It's too bad about the flaw but this seems like an interesting read. Congrats to author on BOTD! Great job on the review!
