I happened to read this book when I was in deep thoughts and it got me out of them. Reason I suspect is because it's all about acceptance. With all the life in this book I appreciate it. I like how the reviewer left suspense on the review.

After reading reading the sample text of this book then reading the review of the book I am very interested in finishing it. I disagree with the reviewer in the fact young adult is a good fitting genre given the heavy nature of the topic and every age struggles with being excepted.

It has elements of Russian folklore. Sold!
The sample was a quick read which met my expectations upon seeing the cover. I'd like to read the rest of the book.

Today's #BOTD sounds like one that would be a great addition to any Upper Elementary or Middle Grade classroom library! Thank you for your lovely review! :-)

Sounds like a bizarre little story! I typically enjoy fantasy and adventure, but I think I'll have to read the sample to see if this one is really for me.

I do agree with you that this read suits teens more than young adult. A story about friendship and fitting in. This is a great book though. Great review!

I feel like I've heard this story before when I was a kid. How whimsical!

I also am not familiar with Russian folklore so it seems like I could learn a few things by reading this book. This novel seems like a great mix of things. Great job on your review!

This book is very much suitable for children the cover has a very nice picture and the line "that their house is built on the chicken leg" sounds very appealing to me and I think for kids also I like folk stories. The theme of friendship and sympathy of other creatures with humans are portrayed very nicely I like the thinking of writer. Very nice review

This looks like a sweet children's book, and very creative too. It's not for me, but it looks like a fascinating read for the younger sect. Thank you for the great review!
