Dew Pellucid’s fantasy thriller, The Crystilleries of Echoland is a magical tale of young adults and their quest to save our world and a secret magical world underneath us.

Twelve-year-old Will Cleary is no ordinary boy. He was kidnapped when he was a toddler, along with his twin sister, but returned after a week, riding a wolf, with a falcon flying over him. These animals remain with him as pets and then just before his thirteenth birthday, they reveal an incredible secret about the world beneath our feet, where echoes of each person on the land above, whom they call sounds, exist. This magical Echoland has a harsh law. When a sound dies, its echo in Echoland will be executed. But, there also exist some in Echoland who use monsters like Fate Sealers who take advantage of this law to go after the sound of the echo they want dead for their own selfish needs. When Will’s life is threatened again, he finds himself in Echoland looking for answers about the thousands of children, including his sister, who goes missing from our world every year. He changes his appearance and dons an alias, Frederick Walker and with the help of a few friends he makes at the Orphanage of Castaway Children in Echoland, he must solve a riddle. Because the answer to that riddle would save the fate of both the realms.

The author’s description of Echoland is magical. His attention to the smallest detail about the magical land, like describing a see-through land with mystical creatures adds to the charm of the plot. I didn't dislike any part of the story. However, I found myself wondering later as to how any thirteen-year-old would be so deep as to think if he wanted to give up his life without a fight in Page 47. The story would have been better if the author wrote more backstory on Will that would have explained the intensity and depth of his thoughts and actions. I found myself constantly trying to remember what a word like VIS meant when it was mentioned and that interrupted my train of thought. So, another suggestion I would make to the author is that a dictionary with all the new words used to describe magical things or people in Echoland, like VIS and Fortuna would enhance the reading experience of any reader. Nonetheless, the fantasy and writing style of the author puts the book on par with the likes of Harry Potter.

The book has been well edited, and I found no grammatical errors in the book.

In conclusion, I loved this book and give it a rating of 4 out of 4 stars and being a young adult fantasy lover myself, I would recommend it to anyone who loves the young adult genre.

I like the fact that the author vividly describes the magical land, and it's true vivid description adds charm to plot development. Thanks for your review!

Yes, I really love it when reading a book, a picture painted in intricate detail like this author, gives you a vivid picture of the magical land.

It is wonderful to read about a story with such a great plot.

Events of which are related and spiced with "magic and adventures."

I am glad you enjoyed the book.
