Ten years ago, Will Clearly and his twin sister Emma Clearing disappeared on Christmas Day at the age of 2. Will returned home a week later with a glowing waterweed, a falcon, wolf, and zero recollection of anything that happened. The story begins with the continuous search for his twin sister.

Will, now 12 years old decides to take matters into his own hands as he jumps into the pond behind his home with the glowing waterweed in hopes of finding a secret entry way to find his sister. His hunch proves true as he is transported into a mysterious world called “Echoland”. In “Echoland," Will is considered a “Sound" and his “Echo” is the prince of “Echoland”. Will comes to find out that his “echo” needs his help as the throne has been stolen from the prince by a “False King”. Will disguises himself to avoid the “Fate Sealers” who are determined to find him and stop his efforts. He teams up with a magician named Peter and the two set off to save the throne, Echoland, and his sister.

Dew Pellucid’s The Crystillaries of Echoland does an outstanding job taking us to a world unlike any other- a parallel universe adventure with translucent characters. I give the book 4 stars out of 4 stars for it’s fresh storyline. Pellucid does a great job adding color and life to our teary friends. It’s a great coming of age story as Will learns to decipher between people who actually want to help him and those who want to stop his efforts.

I must admit originally this book was bit hard to read as it began very slowly then very rapidly, I was introduced to a whole new world and endless amount of characters! I couldn’t put it down after becoming more familiar with “Echoland” and its characters! The orphanage with all the children and their personalities and nicknames become my favorite scenes as well as the library with Peter. This books needs patience and focus through the first few chapter then everything starts making sense and you begin to enjoy being in their world.

I highly recommend the Crystillaries of Echoland to anyone who likes a good fantasy fiction. Please note, this is a younger genre of fantasy fiction. If you enjoy more romantic or more adult fantasy fiction then this book may not be for you. There were a few errors, but overall, this book was nicely edited and fairly easy to read.

This sounds like an interesting book. I think even with the pacing issues it is one I'd like to read. Thanks for the honest review!
