Hammer of the Gods - The Nine Realms by R.K. Wheeler is the first in a trilogy.
This book is base on worlds (realms) other than earth which are nine in number.
There were siblings: Angelica and Jonah who are of the bloodline of Azazyel. Azazyel is one the Arcangels who broke the oath of not marrying mortals. When he disobeyed the law, he was imprisoned by Archangel Gabriel who buried him in the ground; after the great flood, (during Noah's time) Azazyel's tomb was lost and only one of the bloodline of Azazyel can locate the tomb. Gabriel and Lucifer sought Azazyel so that that he (Azazyel) can join either of them in Armageddon. It was for this reason that Gabriel and Lucifer seeked Angelica and his brother Jonah. Luckily enough, Gabriel found them before Lucifer. The siblings were instructed by Gabriel to get the staff of Moses from Artenerk Sangilak. On their quest to get the staff, they met Lorne and Nanuk. After getting the staff, they proceed to Asgard where Odin rule as king. Odin is also one of the twelve Archangels. He also disobeyed God and was not allowed to enter heaven yet, he remained faithful unlike Lucifer who turned against God.
In this book one could find Gabriel and Raphael Looking for the fallen Archangels so that they could join forces to fight their cursed brother Lucifer at Armageddon.
This book is very interesting and captivating with lots of actions. The author has a way of using his words to produce a very fine and clear imagery. He goes into details explaining almost everything. It is also convincing that I sometimes thinks the events in the book are real.
This book contains a lots of mystical characters such as Thor, Zeus and Poesidon and also that of biblical characters and events.
It also tells of realms under the earth.
In summary this books talks of the spiritual battle and preparation taking place in realms for Christ's second coming and Armageddon. The qualities and traits of different categories of angels are also expressed. One will come across beings such as Earthbound, Highborns, Gnomes, Dwarves, mortals amongst others with their different characteristics during the course of reading this book.
There are few errors in spellings and punctuation but they do not affect the beauty of the book.
Let me also mention that the author consulted many books before writing this story which makes it look real.
I recommend this book for lovers of myths, legends ,religion, and as well Christians.
I therefore rate this book 4 out of 4
