Manasakd is a mystical realm. For Kaleb Callahan, a twelve-year-old boy, it is an escape from his anxiety. When Kaleb visits his favorite psychiatrist in the real world, they undergo a shocking interruption. As Kaleb's anxiety begins to build amid the chaos, he quietly slips into the realm of Manasakd. There he meets a mysterious girl named Tali. Little do Kaleb or Tali know what will unfold with their sudden meeting.

Manasakd: The Invitation by Kelly May Andrews is a mystifying book full of fantasy and with it, talking animals.

What happens when imagination and creation collide? Manasakd: The Invitation. What happens when myth and truth tie in a fight? Manasakd: The Invitation. What happens when you decide to read a book called Manasakd? You end up loving it! I found this book to be very interesting. It is filled with highly vivid storytelling and loveable, relatable, and intriguing characters.

I loved that it was a book written in the first person, jumping from character to character. Though having the story told from several points of view can be frustrating to some people, I find it very intriguing. Especially in this book for the multiple perspectives cause the whole plot to move a little faster and become much more complex and mysterious. At times, I would have to look back to see who's point of view I was reading because I would forget. This only occurred a few times and did not take away from the thorough pleasure I received from reading this book.

Manasakd by Kelly May Andrews is one of those books that you can't put down. Yet you have to, thus creating the rest of your days and sleepless nights aggravating because you HAVE TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!! Keep in mind that this wasn't a thriller. It was hardly even a mystery book. Yet I was so invested in this book that I reacted to its content as if it was such a book.

Though the authoress truly depicted the land of Manasakd and its aura well, she could have gotten a little more imaginative with the descriptions. Manasakd, being similar to a "spiritual realm", has outlandish places, people, creatures, things, and happenings. Yet, with all this fodder for unique ways to describe such a place, Kelly May Andrews keeps it very simple. Though this does make it easy to comprehend, it also leaves me disappointed and pining for more details. This was the only thing I disliked about this book.

Overall, Manasakd: The Invitation by Kelly May Andrews is a riveting book. For being fairly professionally edited, clean, and highly intriguing I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. Though it contains mild language and a few typos, these things do not detract from the professionalism or enjoyment of the book. I do not rate it any lower for it was VERY entertaining. I recommend this book to all fantasy/sci-fi lovers ages 12 on up. To make things even better, this book does not contain any erotic content. Thanks for reading my review. God bless!
