Let me tell you about the book called Manaskd by Kelly May Andrews it's about a young boy named Kaleb who is twelve years old. He has anxiety attacks and meets with Dr. George Beckette a well-known child psychiatrist who is trying to help him deal with his anxiety. On one of his visits, the cops show up and take both him and the doctor in for questioning. While waiting to be questioned Kaleb attempts to get water to drink and has severe anxiety. It's here that Kaleb slips into the Manaskd land and the adventure begins.

The world of Manaskd is not like anything we experience in our own world, it's full of magical mystery and intrigue. Not everything is as it seems you must constantly be on the lookout for talking animals, streams, surprise storms, giggling winds, and everything between.

If you are more of a concrete thinker and are unable to open your mind to a world of wonder and make-belief then this book is not for you. I personally was captivated by this book from start to finish. There's so much to learn and understand about each character there are visionaries, empaths, intellects, mythics, healers, and my personal favorite the dreamers. As well as portals, tranquility stations, and keys for transport. It's such a creative and imaginative tale. One that I know my own fourteen-year-old daughter would enjoy but also adults as well. This book is for everyone and I highly recommend it.

I enjoyed the detailed descriptions when discussing the scenery. For example "A colorful land of nature and beauty revealed itself in shifting imagery: winding rivers and crashing waves, babbling brooks through rolling green hills and forests of trees that touched the sky." These descriptions alone were enough to transport the reader into this imaginary place and make you not want to leave.

Having the story told from different points of view allowed the reader to experience the story with fresh eyes each time which I appreciated. I wouldn't change anything about this story and don't have a negative word to say in that regard.

I give this book a 4 out of 4 because it's truly riveting to read. Not a 3 because it deserves more, and I am amazed by the talent of this author. I will be recommending this book to friends and family and hope to see a movie one day.
