The Hunger Pains by the Harvard Lampoon

The Hunger Pains is a parody novella of the Hunger Games book that follows the story of Kantkiss Neverclean. It tells a hilarious story of a girl that cannot choose between her handsome, heart-throb friend Carol Handsomestein, and the pudgy boy that smells of bread, Pita Malarkey. The relationships between Kantkiss and the other characters is funny, positively idiotic, and entertaining, to say the least.
I was physically laughing through several parts, from the funny Capital accent being Jamaican to the ways that characters in the Hunger Games die. Even the “reviews” on the back of the book were hilarious because they were quotes from a ghost, Abraham Lincoln, and a Sheraton hotel memo. Every aspect of this uproarious book had me in stitches and I look forward to reading more of the Harvard Lampoon’s books.
