The Caster Chronicles Series, also known as the Beautiful Creatures Series, by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, is a magical tale about true love and our power in shaping our own destiny. Ethan Lawson Wate had never considered himself anything more than an ordinary young man until a mysterious girl named Lena Duchannes arrives in town, literally like she was conjured from his dreams. Over time the two fall for one another and Ethan learns that he was fated to protect her. On her sixteenth birthday, Caster Lena will face the greatest fear of every female Caster in her family--will she be claimed for the Light or the Darkness? The story chronicles the struggles these two endure as they fight to give Lena a choice. Lives are sacrificed and in the end, love wins.

These books were very addictive and I enjoyed them a great deal. The romance between Ethan and Lena is amazingly detailed and really has you rooting for them by the end. It kept me awake whole nights as I anxiously turned page after page on the journey to the story's ending. If you like stories about magic and love, this will capture your imagination and your heart.
