Sounds like a great YA book :) I too like to read such novels to re-woke memories of my younger years. Thanks for a great review!

I am not really fond of novels where the protagonist has it easy, so I might pass on this one. Great review, as always! :)

This is definitely a story you'll like then. It's a good concept that's well executed. Thanks.

She doesn't exactly have it easy, but she does seem to win several scholarships. Thanks for commenting.

The main idea of finding a parent who left the family seems a little cliche but hopefully the twists and turns promised will make the book different and exciting. The nostalgia seems like an interesting element.

The twists make this anything but cliche. I'm so interested in what happens next. Thanks.

The plot is attractive enough. However, the fact that Rocky wins often is quite unrealistic. I might pick it up though. Thanks for a concise review.

That's a minor detail. It's easily overlooked. It's still worth reading for sure. Thanks.

Any book that will take me back to college days will definitely grab my attention. Leaving your readers confused with more questions at the end of a book may not be too wise because everyone would love to drop the book with fairly enough answers to all the questions the reading prompted in their heads.

I wasn't confused at the end of the book; I just wanted to know what happened. It's unfinished, and you have to read the next book to continue the story. Thanks.

Not only is Raquel Roberts “Rocky”, the truths she uncovers seems to be of the rocky kind — belonging to those truths which are hard to accept, or relate to. High school is tumultuous enough; I wonder how Rocky would end up solving another hurricane, with her dreams stranded somewhere in between.

Thanks for the good review!

Yes, the truths are difficult to swallow. I'm curious to see how she proceeds from here. Thanks.
