Hello Fellow Book Readers,

Now, not many people may know about this book. It's a fairly new book and the author is fairly new as well. I will be reviewing the book CRIMINAL By Terra Elan McVoy.

This book is about a girl named, Nikki who is madly in love with her boyfriend and will do anything for him. Until one day something bad happens and the end up doing something illegal and Nikki gets dragged into it not knowing what she is doing.

Let's just start out by saying this book is a fairly decent book. You could say that it was interesting to people who like criminal books, like me. The author did very good at writing the book and the language she used was excellent. But, one thing I did not like was the main character. I know it sounds stupid. "How can you like the book but not the main character?" I just feel that the main character, Nikki was the stereotypical view of what a teenager in love should act like, being blind to everything. The book starts off good with adding some background about Nikki and her boyfriend, but as the plot increases I was very disappointed in the main character. I mean, how can you do something illegal, and not know that you are doing it?

I understand that love can make people blind but not that blind that they commit a crime together! I am a teenager and I haven't been in love yet because I believe that love doesn't happen until you are over the age of 18. Yet, Nikki is only 17, still in high school and madly in love.

The whole concept of the book is what disappointed me. It seemed like a very good plot story, just the over-attached madly in love girlfriend ruined it for me.

Overall, I would give this book a 3 out of 5 stars.
