Tropicon Islands by Lexxicon brings readers into the music industry. The story follows Adonis Thomas while he transitions from being an intern to a full-time employee at Sephtis Entertainment's FFX artificial intelligence team. It was a dream come true for him while he relished the challenge of managing artists, starting with Chanel Carter, his talented girlfriend. Things would take a turn when Adonis would discover something odd about Sephtis: three artists whose sales had hit ten million died shortly after. This could not just be a coincidence, especially considering that artists' album sales skyrocketed after their death.

As we follow the tale from the third-person perspective, Adonis' persistent investigation puts him in the thick of things, and Chanel's break out while she quickly achieves ten million in sales puts her at risk and creates an intense story that will firmly keep readers on the edges of their seats. "Artificial Intelligence" is central to this story, as we witness how it can be exploited in advanced forms of target marketing. While the positive aspects of these inventions are highlighted, the negatives are well infused into the story as well, and we also get to see the extent of humans' greedy nature.

The architect of the deaths was revealed early on in the story. However, even though that took away the excitement of solving the mystery with Adonis, I was still highly engaged by the suspense that came with Adonis finding out the whys and hows and risking his life. His father abandoning him and the rest of his family left him to step into a protective role that he would embrace in this dangerous world. I thoroughly enjoyed the work the author put into Adonis' character and connected with him on so many levels.

Another aspect of the story that excited me was the relationship between Adonis and Chanel, especially seeing that they wanted different things from each other initially. However, their chemistry was undeniable, and I could sense that it was only going to be a matter of time before they got more involved, thereby raising the stakes for Adonis to solve the mystery even higher.

Furthermore, Tropicon Islands is a professionally edited novel since I found just one minor error while reading. I also cannot think of any part of this intriguing story that I did not enjoy. Overall, Tropicon Islands is a fast-paced, engaging mystery novel that promises a few descriptive action scenes and a satisfying ending that leaves room for a sequel. On this note, I rate this book four out of four stars. I would recommend this novel to lovers of thrillers and mystery stories.

I would love read this book as it said in the review that it explains how artificial intelligence can be monetized, it has always been the branch of technology that I like to study about.

Do you think that this life mirrors art in this instance. There are existing conspiracy theories that float around. These theories postulate that musicians are deliberately killed to increase their sales, relevance and fame. And we certainly see that happening in the music industry. It's too frightening a thought
