First of all I recommend reading the first two books in the series to get a feel for what's going on but, from what I have gathered reading this book that Lexus which is the master of a certain mansion of vampires had found a young boy named Jack who watched his own mother murdered in front of his eyes by rogue vampires.

Lexus saved the boy who was just 5 years old when they had found him and took a fondness to him so he adopted him and tried to protect him from other vampires that would want to eat him. Facing the fact that living with him around so many vampires places him in major danger to be hurt. Lexus struggles with having to send him away into the human world so that he could live out his life the way humans should. And missing his company and being the father to the boy.

Lexus try's to trust his most trusted guards to take care of jack and protect him but soon discovers a plot to over throw the army that he has made over the years who will it be, no one is sure. Growing up with vampire guards, which was getting harder and harder to protect him from the mavericks and or the vampire Nixon. To make matters worse a group of mavericks had taken a family and were slowly bleeding out them Lexus found out and had gone in and taken the only survivor Zack.

Which will start a war between The Lord Vampires. During this time Lexus must deal with a traitor in his vampire army. Who wants to kill him and take over the vampire army.

Readability was easy no spelling or grammar issues. Author describes the places and things and characters beautifully. I would of liked to have seen more of jack learning how to fight with swords or knives he's been with them since he was five what does he do type thing.

But, all that being said this was a very good book to read even if you haven't read the first two books. I give this book a 3 out of 4rating. I want to also thank the author for the chance to review this story. I hope to keep reading more I most definitely will be reading the first two and hopefully more from this Author so keep on smiling and writing.
