Sweet Evil series by Wendy Higgins

Post by kca4516 »

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this series. This is definitely a young adult novel, but was not written in a juvenile manner (even though the characters are in their teens). The story revolves around nephilim (the children of demons). The mythology is different from other stories I've seen and was really interesting. There are twists and turns you don't see coming and a fantastic love story that will make your heart race and make your gut wrench in the same paragraph. I really enjoyed this and I highly recommend it for readers of all ages.

Ooh, I've never heard of this series, but the title alone totally sounds like it would be right up my alley. I've really been into stories with demons and such here recently. I'm sure my family thinks I am joining a cult or something...
Anyway, are the stories really serious all the time, or is there a bit of humor or romance thrown in as well?

I highly recommend it! It's really good and you're not going to want to wait to read the next one. :D

Gah! Now I want to read it even more, but I am trying to refrain from buying any more books. A couple weeks ago, I downloaded a TON of books that were on sale for super cheap (or free!), and I promised myself I would read all of them before I went and got any more.
Unfortunately, the one I am reading now is super long and only semi-entertaining, and I really want something a bit more engaging. On the bright side, I don't think it's a series, so when I am finished with it, I will be completely finished!

I love this series..it was really addicting. I remember just checking when the next book would come out and checking the authors home page for spoilers.

I did not love love this series. The end of the book was really anti climatic and it stopped me from reading on.

I LOVED this series! The concept felt unique and the characters were amazing! The author was able to create strong emotions but did not pull me under with too many details. I also felt like each book was an improvement on the series, which often does not happen.

I haven't yet read this series, but I definitely will, especially with all the great reviews on here for it.

This is a surprisingly good series, with an interesting twist on angels and demons.
