What happened to Scarlett Leone, which made her decide against being in any romantic relationship or marriage, is a reflection of the extent of damages family unrest and domestic violence can have on children. Parents need to be aware that their children are also victims of their harmful actions to their spouses. I like the message in this novel and I recommend it.

Katherine Lore's Becoming Athena is a powerful romance novel that explores the struggles of love and family. The story follows Scarlett Leone, a brilliant young woman who must navigate the obstacles that stand in the way of her romance with her neighbor Cy Smith. The novel is set in a Mormon community, but the faith discussions are used more as a situational obstacle for the couple rather than an attempt to sway the reader's beliefs. The author does a fantastic job of growing and developing the characters, and I found myself invested in their story. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good love story.

A well-pieced young adult novel with useful themes to teach the reasders. I also admire the personality of Scarlett Leone in this story. It's sad her relationship life is getting complicated. The editing of this novel is also good, so nice job.

A romance book that talks about the story of how Scarlet who has decided not to have a boyfriend or marry could not help but break the law and fall in love with Cy due to her family broken nature and avoiding been trapped in the same abusive situation as her mother. I like how the book characters were well-developed and how the author make the end interesting. I'm glad you enjoyed reading the book. Nice review.

The title is an eye catcher. With the little I have read from the sample pages and this review, I believe this will be an interesting book. Good one from the author. Congratulations on being the book of the day!

Scarlett seems like a wonderful young woman. I am curious to see how her relationship develops and how the author incorporates Greek mythology into the story. Congratulations on BOTD.

This seems like a heart touching young adult story. The problems in a broken family would mostly impact the minds of teenagers and children. But it seems Scarlett was unable to avoid the budding romance in her heart. I would love to know more about Scarlett.

This is a great book. I like that scarlet did all what she had to do to not live in the shackles that her mum had lived. This is a great plot.

Interesting, indeed, really interesting. I mean, today’s BOTD sounds like a normal young adult romance, of course, but it has quite a peculiar setting. It is not every day we read a book in which one of the central characters is an adherent of Mormonism. I have never seen this called into popular fiction and that’s why I am very interested. All in for this one. A most excellent review!

I could relate to Athena because I also did the same thing when I was a teenager. I also relied on stories such as Greek mythology stories as a way to escape my depressing home life.
Congratulations to the author for BOTD!

I'm glad to hear that Becoming Athena is a well-written and engaging young adult romance novel. After reading your review, I am definitely interested in checking out this book for myself. The combination of Greek mythology and science as well as the focus on character development and obstacles in the form of family and community beliefs sounds like it will make for a unique and compelling story. And the fact that it's a clean read is an added bonus. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the book and I will definitely consider reading it.
