I just finished reading 'Love Letters to the Dead' by Ava Dellaira and I'm left feeling a bit disappointed. I went into the book with so much excitement and expectations. It turned out almost exactly like the Perks of Being a Wallflower. Only instead of Charlie was Laurel. I did like the book, but I found myself unable to completely enjoy it as I kept comparing it to the Stephen Chbosky novel. Was it just me or did anyone else feel this way too?

I really enjoyed reading this book. I was actually pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it. I found this book by just randomly picking it up at the library when I needed to past the time one day, because I liked the cover. :P I think the characters in the book have so much depth and are very intriguing. It was interesting to see how May's death impacted everyone around her. Also, Ava Dellaira uses her words beautifully, almost like a song.
The only thing I'm not quite so sure about is... did May commit suicide or was it an accident? I think the author left the story in a way that the readers are allowed to choose how they want to interpret the story. Personally I think she probably committed suicide.
