Shadow of a Life by Tifani Clark

Post by Norma_Rudolph »

Shadow of a life is a YA ghost mystery. It's the first in a series and I'm looking forward to the next book. It's about a girl who becomes a "soul saver." That's someone who can help ghosts move on to the next life. In this book she helps a girl who supposedly died on a ship that was found abandoned and drifting without any crew. But as the mystery unfolds, we learn the real truth about what happened and we see the bad guys get what they deserve at at last. I really enjoyed reading Shadow of a Life.
I love that the author has researched real mysteries and ghost stories to base her books on. I also like the characters and enjoyed being a part of their lives.
My only concern was that they seemed to have a bit too much freedom for kids their age, but even that is part of what makes them who they are as their families are not perfect and they have to deal with that and try to be responsible.
This is not an official review, but I wanted to share this book anyway. It's a good read for young adults, clean and fun.
I'd give it four out of four stars if I were getting paid to review it.
