Reave by C. Miller review

Post by CYMH090909 »

First off the author of this book contacted me and asked me to read her book for an honest review. I started this book months ago and originally I just could not get into the book but finally I sat down and told myself that I needed to read for the authors sake whether I liked the book or not. Come to find out the book Reave by C. Miller was great. The beginning like I said was really slow but for it being a YA book it definitely hit with it's targeted audience I think. The book is about a girl who is taken out of her life at a very young age to work for the ruling house. It tells you a little about why this happens and then goes to present day with her as a young adult now working in the ruling house. She works as a maid and tries to stay invisible until one day she is noticed and is forced to work as one of the waiting staff at one of the houses functions where she meets the Reaper. Reapers are assassins. They are hired by the head of the houses to take out other people. During the party for the Reaper something goes wrong and the Reaper steps in. That cause the head of the house to put this girl on the duty of looking after the Reapers needs. If you think it's complicated now wait until you read the book for yourself. It's full of action and romance and unexpected twists and turns you will never see coming. This is the first in a series and after reading it I can't wait to read the second one. If you can fight past the slow beginning anyone who is into romance and a little blood in their Young adult books should enjoy the novel.
