There are a lot of mixed reviews written about this series, but I still wanted to read it because I thought the story would be interesting, and the concept of humanity segregating themselves into separate factions is actually quite believable.
I wasn't wrong, I liked the story. I was however on the fence about (tris). I usually get so invested in a main character right at the beginning of a story. I laugh and cry with them, and I applaud their growth. In this case, it was very difficult to relate to tris. I found myself going through the series more as a concerned party rather than being in the moment with the protagonist.
In the end I thought perhaps the author wanted it that way. I still think the series is worth reading and would recommended it to others and let them form their own opinions.
