I have a new favorite book genre dystopian novels. Adelina Amouteru is given powers after suffering from a fever sounds a little cheesy but its great. I love the character development between her and her sister, you think you may know someone but they can be full of surprises. Can't wait for the next one.

Marie Lu's book The Young Elites is a very interesting book. Personally I found it to be a bit of a disappointment but over all it was not that bad. It's about a young girl who has a terrible father and runs away. she discovers that she has a superpower to give other people the illusion that something is happening when really it's not. She finds people that are just like her and she finally finds a place that she can fit in. The book was a bit dark in my opinion and the plot was very predictable. Over all it was not a bad read.

This book started off slowly for me. I wasn't crazy about the old timey setting, and I suppose that is part of the reason I didn't become immediately engaged in the story, but something kept me reading. I'm glad I didn't give up on this story because last hundred pages changed my opinion completely. I wait anxiously to discover where Adelina ends up next. Another great book by Marie Lu!

The Young Elites, such a great story. Its a little slow at the begining but as the story goes on the storyline and plot soon start making much more sense to the point where you can not leave the book down. I honestly loved the book, i immidiately fell in love with all the characters in the story. The ending oh my the ending ripped my heart out, i couldnt it believe. What a way to capture a readers attention and heart.

I have heard a lot about this book, but it seems to have mix reviews. I like the plot for the Young Elites, but after reading the first few chapters online, it did seem a bit slow. I am glad that the story does pick up after a while.

I personally have was not enthralled by this book as I had hoped to be, I found it to be slow at time but I did enjoy it overall. However, I have not read further into the series. Aside from my personal opinion, this book was well written and had wonderful characters. The struggles Adelina went through are cut and dry but yet make the reader feel so much.
