Not to enthused with having to move to a small town in Illinois with her mother, Angel befriends her not so ordinary neighbors Lexi, her brother Travis and their cousin, Chase Winters. Angel quickly begins to realize there is something different about her neighbors and will not stop until she figures it out. With her friendship to Lexi growing, Angel is finding it very hard to coexist in this little town with Chase. He is arrogant, cocky and is determined to keep Angel at arms length. However, the half demon, half human family, can't keep their secret from Angel for long...

This book seems pretty similar to Jennifer Armentrout's Lux series but once you start reading it, it really is different. Yes, you do have the hot, brooding leading male and the head strong, sarcastic leading lady in both books but who doesn't love that? In fact, if I had to choose between the two books (after having already read the series), I would definitely choose the Divisa Series.

The book is laugh out loud funny at times, full of drama and sexual tension. Chase and Angel have a love/hate relationship; they love to hate each other. I would highly recommend this book to all readers. I give the book (and the series) 5 stars!
