Branded is a fast-paced and exciting book with star-crossed romance, action, and adventure. In Lexi's world people can be accused of one of the seven deadly sins- Lust, Gluttony, Sloth, Wrath, Greed, Pride, and Envy- once you're accused, that's it, no trial or jury, you're immediately sent to the Hole, a place where all the sinners dwell. Lexi is accused of Lust, so she's branded with a blue band around her neck. Now she must move to the Hole and try to survive.

The synopsis sounds very intriguing. Done right, this could be a phenomenal story. Playing with symbolism or even alluding to similar historical events could add depth.

With the US justice system under so much scrutiny right now, making this a fully developed dystopia or a social critique could work.
