Made for You by Melissa Marr review

Post by Gravy »

When Eva is stood up by her boyfriend, forcing her to walk home alone, she's struck by a car...but it was no accident.
Eva wakes up in the hospital, unsure of where she is, or what's happened. She learns that one of her class-mates has been killed. And soon...she starts falling into visions. Visions where people die.

Made for You is a ya thriller, with a hint of the paranormal. Chapters vary between Eva's point of view, and the point of view of Judge, her would be killer who has an unhealthy obsession.
With boyfriend drama, an old friend who could be something more, and death around every corner, this book almost has it all. The mystery kept me on my toes, and the relationships were complicated (as is normal in Melssa Marr's writing).
Though, I would have prefered the characters be a bit more fleshed out, and the mystery move a little slower, I still greatly enjoyed this book. With all the merits previously listed, and an interesting and clever use of prosopagnosia (aka face blindness), this book found it's way to my 3 star shelf...easy.

So..if you enjoy ya, mystery, clever use of rare disorders, or any combination thereof, this book could be for you.

What is grief, if not love persevering?

Grief is just love with no place to go.
