Welcome to Harmony by Dan Trumpis

Hello,

I've been hearing some buzz online about Welcome to Harmony by Dan Trumpis (not to be confused with the other two books titled Welcome to Harmony by other authors). He's a local author, and I found out the book recently won an award. What I've read about it online from other readers, they either really, really like it or they really, really don't. I haven't found a lot of in-between. Has anyone here read it or heard about it? I'd like to gather a few more opinions before I shell out the money to buy it from Amazon.
