Review of "Dear Edward"-Ann Napolitano

Post by lily-789 »

This book is about the story of Edward who flies with his brother and parents to Los Angeles from Newark, NJ. The plane crashes and Edward is the only survivor. The book takes you through the journey of Edward as he heals, mentally and emotionally. He recovers and lives with his aunt and uncle, reconnects with his friend and her mother. He is grieving over the loss of his family. He has to learn to live all over again.

I like the way that the author parallels the characters on the flight before the crash and Edward's life after the crash. There is a connection. You learn about each character's personality. Reading the story, I find that there are two Edward's-the young Edward before the crash and after the crash the new Edward. it was hard to put the book down.

The age group to read this book is for 17years to adulthood.

I give this book 4 out of 4 stars.
