The Heir by Keira Cass : 4.3 out of 5 stars
Keira Cass did her magic again in the fourth book in the Selection series. The novel made me want to be a princess and have my very own Selection. I love Princess Eadlyn's attitude, the 'I don't need a man' vibe that separates her from other princesses who only seems to wait for a prince who would sweep them off of their feet. It is also good to see the old characters like America, Maxon, Marlee and Aspen and to see what happened after 20 years. I would really love to get ny hands on the next book!

I absolutely fell in love with this series and Keira Cass.

She has said that she is working on the 5th book in the series and is going to be released "supposedly" next year sometime.

I don't know about you guys but I cannot wait that long!!!

I never say this but I think The Selection series would make a great movie series if they had the right actors and director. Anyone else agree?

I'm not really a fan of this book. I hate Eadlyn's attitude and I feel like she is so selfish. Yes I get it she will be queen but is being bitchy really necessary? I love Ahren but I think what he did in the end is quite irrelevant! But Kiera Cass has a way of making you want the next book more even though the characters annoys me.

I LOVED the first three books of the series, but I'm not sure if I want to read The Heir. Most people seem to dislike Princess Eadlyn.

While I enjoyed this series and finished them all in a weekend, I was disappointed with the lack of resolution I felt the series had at the end

I really wanted to like this book because I loved The Selection that followed America and Maxon, but the chemistry was not there at all. I often found myself frustrated and annoyed with Princess Eadlyn. I do plan to read the Crown to find out more about characters that I do like, but I am not so invested in this book like I was others.

I can't say that I loved this book because I didn't. The books in the original series were hard enough to read as is. I will say the the general idea of the plot line is interesting, which is originally what drew me in but ultimately it's just not for me.

The Heir, and the series as a whole, was just amazing, and by now I've also read The Crown. It was the perfect ending to an amazing series. I wasn't sure if I would like a series in the point of view of America's daughter (sometimes sequels and spin-offs do not do the original series justice), but Kiera Cass amazed me and made me fall in love with a whole new set of characters. There probably won't be anymore to this series (and I think this was a good place to end it), so I can't wait to see what else Cass comes up with!

Contrary to many of the reviewers of this book, I did not like The Heir at all. I had sincerely enjoyed The Selection series: the characters were rich, the storyline was appealing, and the conflict was palpable. What Kiera Cass gave us in her first three books she completely neglected in her fourth. The main character was petty; the storyline was repetitive; and the writing was, quite honestly, juvenile. I was surprised and disappointed by this book as I had come to expect more from this author. While I will give this author another chance in the future, it will not be with this series of books.

Even though I didn't really like The Selection series I don't like leaving things unfinished so I decided to read this book. This book was worse than the 3 previous books. The main character in this book is completely unrelatable and annoying. She complains about everything even though she's had a pretty easy/privileged life also the way some of the boys act in this book seem totally unrealistic.
I think Keira Cass should have left this series as a trilogy, there was no need to prolong the story. The One was an adequate ending.
