Review: Mythos Academy Series

The mythos academy series began being written by Jennifer Estep in 2011 and continues to be written by her today. At the time being there are 6 books in the series. It is narrated by the main character, Gwenn Frost.

Gwenn has a superpower, psychometry, which allows her to touch something and instantly know its history, who was touching it, what they were thinking about when they were touching it and so on. After her mother is murdered she is sent off to Mythos Academy where she becomes an outcast compared to all of the other smart and powerful mythical people. When she is chosen by her god to be her champion she must go to work and build up her power in order to defeat the evil god, Loki. As she learns more and more how to use her powers she begins to realize how powerful she really is and the dangers of using her powers eventually get to her.

These books not only feature magical action, but also love and betrayal. In this series you won't ever get bored. There is trouble and adventure around every corner. You never know who you can trust when it comes to being Gwenn Frost. With magical creatures, statues that seem to move and hot men with powers, you won't be able to put the series down.
