Great, clean, and suspenseful thriller for young adult and adults readers who are tired of poorly written books filled with raunchy, sexual undertones to keep readers captivated. I'm not the type to read supernatural books and I blasted through her other books so I needed more Oram in my life. There are three books in this series, but, unfortunately only two have been released.
The first book, Being Jamie Baker, introduces an introverted high school girl with black hair and a deadly stare who avoids everyone in order to hide her super powers. On a bet for a prom date, the infamous high school quarterback, Ryan, has to kiss Jamie and literally gets the electrifying kiss of his life. After the intense kiss, Ryan will do anything to win over Jamie while Jamie tries her best to keep Ryan away so he does not uncover her secret powers.
In the second book, More Than Jamie Baker, Jamie learns to harness and control her powers with the help of her boyfriend, Ryan, but after an accident that could have exposed her secret, Jamie is ridden with guilt and decides to use her powers to help others. Her courageous acts start headlining news and now a group of scientists want her to experiment. Jamie also finds out that she's no longer the only person being chased and that there are other individuals who have secret powers.
The third book, Remember Jamie Baker, is still in the writing process. Bummer, but it will be worth the wait. In the meantime, enjoy her other series, The supernatural series.
