"Fangirl" by Rainbow Rowell was an altogether relatable, funny, emotional ride that anyone can relate to.

Cath is a high school graduate obsessed with Simon Snow, a book series much like Harry Potter. Her and her twin sister Wren used the books to help get through their mother leaving them. Now Cath is an infamous author of "Carry On, Simon". The awkward teen's twin shocks her with the news that they will not be sharing a dorm in college. While Wren goes to frat parties and drinks through the night the timid English major Cath doesn't leave the house-until she meets Levi, one of her roommate's many boyfriends. Levi and her roommate Reagan take Cath out of her comfort zone. Will Cath desert her fanfic past, or embrace her life as a Fangirl forever?

The characters in "Fangirl" were very real and entertaining. Levi is not the brightest, but he has a need for knowledge. Wren is the extroverted popular and stereotypical college girl. Reagan is the visual of a good friendship where nothing is perfect. Cath is a frightened book nerd who just wants to be alone. The unbelievably real aspect of this story is the greatest part. No matter who you are Rainbow's portrayal of college and life will have you laughing and crying at the same time.
