Icon Official Review: House of Comarre Series by Kristen Painter

Post by AKBookAddict »

Right when you feel the vampire scene is being overplayed you hear about the House of Comarre Series. Chrysabelle is very special, she is technically half vampire. However, she has none of the downsides, physically anyway. She is more or less bred to feed royalty until she can buy or fight her way to freedom. However, it appears someone believes she's taken this chance early and now she is being hunted. As she searches for refuge she runs into the most dangerous person anyone could ever run into. Without wanting to - she becomes his property!! Having to stick by his side and obey by the laws she was raised by is one thing, but what about when this frustratingly dangerous, yet sexy, vampire doesn't want her around?

These two work together through the supernatural world to solve the mystery of why Chysabell's life is on the line and end up finding friends that include more than just their race. Feelings and sexual tension surface but keeping boundaries is another hardship these two try and sometimes fail to endure.

The author Kristen, weaves an original story bringing in all your favorite mythical lore and more. Chrysabelle, the main character, is a strong female lead for the ages. She is skilled in the arts of war, fearless, strong, yet caring and devoted to all.

This is a series you will not regret reading!
