Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell is a cute and funny story about a anxious and antisocial fangirl named Cather, or Cath for short. In this book we join along in Cath's adventures of joining college. The whole place is a lot bigger than her high school and filled with charming and beautiful people. She has trouble making friends, or talking to people in general but, her twin Wren on the other hand, is going out partying. Cather would have stayed indoors and written fan fiction about Simon Snow characters if she wasn't pulled out of her comfort zone by her roommate and his happy-go-lucky and attractive guy friend, Levi. The rest, I'm afraid is spoilers, so you will have to read to find out more.

I was very pleasantly surprised my this book! As a fangirl myself, I expected it to be slightly offensive and lame but Rowell really did a good job. All of the characters were detailed but well balanced ( not perfect but not total jerks). Cath's character development was amazing, and i love the family aspect of it as well. It touches a lot on the topics of mental health and family troubles. I absolutely couldn't put this book down until I had finished.

The only thing I didn't like how perfect Levi was. he didn't seem to have any flaws at all, making him a kinda boring character.

overall review : 9.75/10
