"Suicide Notes From Beautiful Girls" by Lynn Weingarten

I went into my local waterstones store with a list of books I wanted to buy (I make lists because otherwise I would find myself spending hours looking through bookshelves and going up to the counter with a stack of books as tall as me and end up spending far too much money.) I get a lot of book suggestions from YouTube reviews (mod note: name removed) but on this one occasion I couldn't find the book I wanted and, being the socially awkward weirdo that I am, I refused to go up to a member of staff and ask for any advice or help on where to find a particular bool. Instead I headed over to the YA Fiction section and picked up this book called "Suicide Notes From Beautiful Girls" by Lynn Weingarten. Immediately the cover drew me in, simple with just a splash of colour but it instantly looked interesting and like the sorts of books I enjoy reading (mystery, crime etc.) After reading the first couple sentences of the blurb, I knew I had to buy it and added it to the pile of books I planned on buying. When I got home, I decided to settle down and read. I don't want to give anything away about the most important parts of the novel but what I can say is this: wow!

This book was gripping and mysterious and beautiful from beginning to end. There was mystery and drama on every page turn and it even made me cry at some points due to the wonderfully written friendship and love story between the two main protagonists (naturally I ship them so much *squee*
I highly recommend this book if you enjoyed books such as "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" or "It's Kind of a Funny Story", it leaves you constantly guessing what really happened and being completely shocked when it turns out to be the exact opposite of what you guessed. Definitely a book to add to your "to read" list, I loved it from cover to cover and read it in less than 24 hours. 9/10 rating.
