I give E. M. Barrie's novel Peter Pan a 4 star rating. "Peter Pan" by E.M. Barrie is a novel for children and young adults as well as for adults who want to remember being kids. Everyone knows about Walt Disney's version of this story, which is comparable to E. M. Barrie's original story. Peter is a child who never grew up and had many adventures. The story starts out describing the Darling family the parents, then Wendy, Michael, John and Nana, the nurse. Peter first shows up one night looking for his shadow and Wendy makes a friend for it is her last night in the nursery. Wendy sews Peter's shadow back on to Peter. This is when Peter knew he made a friend but he has to learn to trust in others.
The other characters as in Tinkerbell, The Lost Boys, Captain Hook and Smee are all on Neverland Island awaiting to hear from Peter. There are many adventures and issues that Peter and Wendy need to work out and grow up even when the boy who never grows up grows a little in spirit. After Peter's shadow is sewn back on there are many questions that still need to be answered and believed. This is a story for all ages and kinds. It is a story that let's us think of more fun times and memories so as our adult lives continue we can still have pieces of our childhood to hold on to. The characters get into all sorts of problems and with each problem Peter and Wendy become close friends, but as the story continues there will be choices to be made.
The quote from the book "Do you believe in fairies?, clap your hands do not let Tink die." This is a question that we all dealt with when growing up and making our choices in life. Fairies are there to help us when needed along with a Peter Pan type character that leads to answers. Our lifeline from childhood to adulthood that will be there in our memories. This novel is a great read and the reader at any age will enjoy it a lot.

In my original post review I missed the typo I wrote E. M. Barrie instead of J.M. Barrie.
