This is the second book in the Fallen series and my favorite. Daniel has hidden Luce away at a school for Nephilim. Children of fallen angels and humans. Now Luce must face the realities of the changes in her life while making a couple good friends along the way. I enjoyed the fact that Daniel was not present so much in this book. Ultimately this showed us how much love the two had for each other. A great way to lead into the next book.

This book was my least favorite out of the series. I feel as though it was a filler book compared to the others in the series. In this book Luce is shipped to Shoreline, a safe school for nephilim and others like them, to discover who she is on her own. I found this irritating because without Daniel she has no idea who she is. She becomes lost and curious which leads to her being in dangerous situations. That being said, the end of the book was my favorite and it gave a great lead into the next book, Passion.
