The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel, by Micheal Scott
When I began to read the first book in the series, The Alchemist I did not know what to expect. However, in the first chapter I knew I was in for a good ride. It did not waste time trying to describe ever single thing there is. I like how they how the explained the "Magic" they use which is there aura and every "wizard" has there own color and smell. I like how they added some history into with John Dee who was the first Queen's right hand man and the original 007.
All in all I can go on for hours and hours talking about this book but if you want to know more you have to read it. I give this book a 8.5/10.

This seems like my kind of book. I really enjoy books that have to do with magic or wizards, even mythical creatures. Even from the small review I've already decided I'm interested and I'll defiantly be checking this book out

I loved this book and I have always thought alchemy as an interesting science. I am eager to read the next book in the series.

I read several books in this series many years ago, and I remember enjoying it. A lot of fantasy novels spend a lot of time describing things (which is expected when they are world-building), but this one doesn't and I really appreciated it.

The use of auras in this book sounds intriguing. I'll be adding this book to my shelves!

I read this series a handful of years back and really enjoyed it. The final books went a little off the rails (and really stretched my suspension of disbelief) but overall, it was a fun series to read. I enjoyed the magic system and exactly how many historical/mythological figures Scott managed to blend into his world building. I thought it was a clever way to encourage younger readers to look into some of these actual people (like John Dee or Joan of Arc).

This is not my usual genre, but I particularly enjoyed the author's eye for detail in explaining the mythological parts of the book.

The Alchemist is an incredible book. At all times I feel like I am the character in the book. I can vividly visualize all the details that the author has laid out for me. It is a thrilling plot with a bit of romance. I definitely recommend this book. I give it a 9/10

I read this entire series in middle school, and it's great for young teen readers or adults looking for an easy, fun read. The world building is solid, and that characters evolve throughout the story.

Can I say that I was first captivated by the book title (which is why I stole it from my dads library).
I read this book over the Christmas holiday and I can boldly say it was the highlight of my holiday(I read it in one day). Lol just putting it out there, I really couldn’t put it down. It was an exciting journey with lots of thrills and so many new terminologies to be learnt. I’d say more but honestly it’d be too much, I give this book a 9/10

I agree the characters in the book were a lot more interesting then I thought they would have been. I enjoyed reading not just this book but the whole series overall.

I loved this book when I first came across it and still am a fan of the whole series. The mixture of fiction, myths and history is amazing and I love how the action isn't spread out over a long amount of time but mostly compacted into a couple of days which is very different from most books I've read and give the reader a way more intense feeling.
